Versus kicked off spring 2011 with a plaid-heavy collection featuring the pattern in a variety of garments, including dresses. Thakoon then carried on the torch with his fall 2011 collection, amping up the color and referencing the grunge era of the early 1990's. Plaid is a perennial favorite and rarely goes out of fashion, swinging back and forth from little accents to full-on statements. This season it was about the full-on statement. Plaid was smack dab center, front row, loud and proud. For my look, I took a thrifted plaid dress and winterized it with a comfy grandpa cardigan, military-inspired booties, 80's inspired socks, and quirky whale earrings. Yesterday I listened to that song probably 5 times, ha! I love Adele. I love the plaid look! Cool boots too. Do you think you're going to move? I saw that on fb!
