All those signs I knew what they meant

(Hat: H&M, Earrings: vintage, Dress: vintage, Belt: Express, Cuff: Francesca's, Boots: Filene's Basement)

Prabal Gurung is a perennial red carpet favorite, so when he decided to go distressed this season, it was definitely a risk. His inspiration was Ms. Havisham, and he added off the shoulder touches and some edge with his kickin' choice of accessories. The risk was definitely worth the reward in this case, as it turned out to be a striking collection. The look that really resonated with me was this midi-length red dress accessorized with those edgy buckle shoes. I thought I could easily mimic this with a vintage dress and my over-the-knee boots. The studs were simply the icing on the cake. I love to add a little bit of 90s grunge to my vintage dresses with a rib knit hat, and these black chandelier earrings (vintage from my Aunt Jo) were the perfect accent to this retro print. This post further demonstrates the concept of yesterday's post, and that is a vintage dress can easily be made current with a few thoughtful accessories.

I love Prabal Gurung! Have you seen his new campaign video? (I don't know if that's what it's called, but it's a video showcasing his newest collection...absolutely fabulous!)

Anyways, you're so good at drawing inspiration from these runway looks without being completely copy-cat-ish...I love this look!
